Reiner Knizia's classic route-building game is now available in a stylish allplay design!
Players deploy colorful caravans in the desert and compete for points by heading for water and oases. Strategic route construction and territory acquisition are the keys to victory.
Each player places two camels of the same color as their caravan leader each turn to expand their caravan. You can earn points by reaching water or an oasis, but you need to act strategically before other players get there first. You can also secure territory by surrounding part of the board and aim for additional points.
The appeal of the game
A timeless classic
Played and polished for years by board game communities around the world, this title is truly worthy of being called a "timeless classic." In addition, the improved Camel miniatures enhance the game's appeal.
Every Turn Counts
In a battle over water, there is no room for complacency.
Only two Camels can be placed per turn.
- Should we try and score for the oasis?
- Will you secure a precious watering hole before your rivals do?
- Or should you block off part of the board and aim for a large number of points?
Every choice is a crucial decision that can mean the difference between winning or losing.
A variety of scoring strategies
Randomly arranged boards and individual player styles challenge your creativity and flexibility, as new scoring opportunities appear while some disappear as the game progresses.
There's no time to look back on past mistakes!
Take advantage of different scoring methods and board states and always be on the hunt for the next opportunity.
In Through The Desert you never have to give up!
