Discuss how completely different objects might share something in common.
The Same Game is a cooperative party game for 3-6 players designed by Wolfgang Warsch, the creator of "The Mind", "The Quacks of Quedlinburg" and "So Clever"
- Which is more important to humanity, a microwave or a diaper?
- How does the movement of a rocking horse differ from that of a windshield wiper?
- Do a pizza cutter and a unicycle have any visual similarities?
In front of the players are cards with six categories such as "price," "appearance," and "material," along with cups. One of these categories is the trap category. Only the lead player knows which category is the trap.
The lead player looks at the revealed object cards and considers which objects are similar in the trap category, writing their thoughts on their board.
Example: If the trap category is "movement," the lead player might write "unicycle" on their board for the object card "pizza cutter."
After that, the whole team discusses and eliminates categories one by one, avoiding the trap category. The goal is to eliminate as many categories as possible before revealing the trap category!
Players enjoy finding commonalities between various objects and working together as a team to choose the correct category.
